Daily routine at our animal shelter.

Today, our working day at the animal shelter began with pre-planned tasks.
It was necessary to take two young dogs named Bagel and Crash to the veterinary clinic for stereolysis.
as well as a third small dog Morty for inspection, who was recently found in a field with a wound on his neck.

Upon arrival at the clinic, an air raid began, the threat of a russian missile strike … Strange as it may seem, but these sirens seem to be something normal. Perhaps the human brain is designed to protect the body from stress .

During our stay at the veterinary clinic, we received two phone calls from kind people.
They reported problems with two dogs. One young dog was hit by a car, and another old dog had some kind of seizure and passed out.

Both dogs were far away, at the other end of our big city. We decided to rush to them .

Near the first dog, we were met by people who called us. They told us in detail about the incident.
The blow by the car was strong and the dog, having run off to the side, fell and did not move anymore .

When examining the dog, we found numerous wounds on its body and a clear fracture of the front paw .
When loading into the carrier, she whimpered because of the pain, but we tried to transfer her as gently and painlessly as possible for her .

After loading the injured dog into our car, we went to look for the second dog.

The puppy was hit by a car with a broken front paw.

We found him near the store, surrounded by kind people who gave him water to drink. The dog drank water greedily and the stomach was clearly enlarged . The dog tried to escape from us . But, later we still managed to pick him up and load into our car.

We could not correctly assess the condition of the dogs and therefore were in a hurry to deliver them to the veterinary clinic to the doctors.

Upon arrival at the clinic, the doctors examined the dogs, made x-rays, injections and the necessary procedures.

The conclusion of doctors on dogs is as follows .

The dog that was hit by the car had a severe fracture in its front paw.
Second, the old dog has a big liver problem, he was given intravenous medicine, but the prospects for his health are poor .

Both dogs were left at the clinic to continue their treatment.

We took our dogs, which we brought to the clinic in the morning and took them back to our shelter.

Thus ended another day of work… in the front-line city of Zaporozhye, in Ukraine.
